Job description

- Proficient in the use of various pharmacy automation systems and electronic medical record. - In the respective areas, responsible for the safe and accurate preparation of non-sterile, sterile, and hazardous medications according to USP 795, 797 and 800 guidelines. Perform at higher-level work by ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. - Responsible for medication handling and delivery, including controlled dangerous substances and hazardous medications. - Follow proper medication safety practices (e.g., look alike sound alike, high alert, expirations and recalls, temperature and humidity documentation) - Additionally, maintain competency and ongoing training in the specialized areas. - Assist in training of pharmacy personnel, when appropriate. - Demonstrate excellent communication skills, attention to detail and teamwork. Education/Experience: 1. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Health Care, Pharmacy or related field preferred. 2. 5+ years of experience in a Hospital Pharmacy or relevant area. 3.
