Job description

Role Title: Product Engineering Intern Career Path Program: WAYS – Expert Track (Intern Assignment) Job Objective: Support the design and development of automotive acoustic and thermal insulation components while gaining hands-on experience in product engineering, manufacturing processes, and cross‑functional collaboration within the automotive industry. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the design and development of automotive acoustic and thermal insulation components, including: - Composite heat shields (aluminum & PET) - Thermoformed fiberglass - PET fibers, foams, shoddy - 2D die-cut insulation parts - Support CAD design activities, prototype development, Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VA/VE), and new product concepts - Participate in project meetings and technical reviews with internal teams and, when applicable, customers - Help execute and document product, process, and manufacturing feasibility studies - Support product design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives - Assist with APQP-related activities, including prototype testing, tooling development, and process trials - Contribute to determining basic cycle times, workstation layouts, and work or assembly i...
