Description Balance Health is the largest majority podiatrist owned practice in the country and the nation’s premier comprehensive lower-extremity focused Physician Practice. We are looking for a Surgical Podiatrist to serve our San Antonio community at one of several clinics, with plans for continued growth and expansion in the region. The ideal candidate will be hard-working, comfortable performing surgery as well as doing routine care, with a phenomenal bedside manner who treats our patients with exceptional care. Essential Functions: - Examine patients’ legs and feet to diagnose diseases - Treat bone, muscle, and joint disorders affecting the feet and ankles - Perform surgical procedures as necessary along with wound care management as needed - Diagnose diseases and deformities of the foot and ankle using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test results - Prescribe medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgery - Advise patients about treatments and foot and ankle care techniques necessary for prevention of future problems - Provide education/consultation to patients, family, and health care team - Provide health promotion and prevent...
