Position Title Missouri Paramedic Liberty Hospital: Position Summary / Career Interest: Performs patient care under the direction of and as assigned by the Registered Nurse and/or Physician. Performs technical skills to include phlebotomy, peripheral IV catheter placement and IV therapy initiation. Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions: - Assists with appropriate patient care as delegated by Registered Nurse (RN). - Collaborates with RN to modify plan of care. - Performs intervention delegated by RN. - Reports observations regarding effectiveness of intervention to RN. - Communicates effectively with patient, family, physicians, and health care team. - Applies safety and infection control measures. - Performs phlebotomy duties. - Peripheral IV catheter placement. - IV Therapy initiation. - Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department. - These statements are intended to describe the essential functions of the job and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities.
