PRN MRI TECHNOLOGIST JOB DESCRIPTION: The PRN MRI Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires strong technical skills, strict adherence to MRI safety standards, and the flexibility to work on an as-needed basis while providing excellent patient care. The PRN MRI Technologist reports to the Office Manager of Blue Star Imaging and is based in Boerne, TX. Job Duties and Responsibilities: - Perform MRI examinations according to established protocols and physician orders - Prepare and screen patients for MRI procedures, ensuring compliance with MRI safety standards - Explain procedures to patients and address questions or concerns to reduce anxiety - Properly position patients to obtain optimal image quality; may require moving/lifting patients - Operate MRI equipment and related imaging software - Administer contrast agents as ordered and monitor patients for adverse reactions - Maintain strict adherence to MRI safety policies, including ferromagnetic screening and zone control - Monitor image quality and make necessary technical adjustments - Accurately do...
