Job description

SMX is seeking a mission-oriented Director of Business Development & Capture with experience growing high-visibility, mission-focused, technologies by driving and shaping, complex deals with DoD and IC customers. You will play a vital role in creating a safer tomorrow though offering digital solutions related to real-time data processing and visualization, space-ground systems, and other related joint and/or all-domain operations. Preferred locations: DC Metro or Northern Virginia. This is a Hybrid role. Travel expectations are 30% to visit customers and SMX offices for collaboration on key initiatives. This position identifies, qualifies and captures government acquisitions for our Space and Intel team. The ideal candidate must be able to leverage a deep mission understanding of customers’ needs and objectives focused on the areas of Cloud Development, Research and Development, and Future Architectures to support mission needs. Efforts include driving capture and proposal readiness from early positioning and shaping efforts, to development and implementation of win strategies.
