Job description

A permanent full time position, commencing date is open to negotiation. The successful applicant will be required to teach Science (Stage 6 desirable). The role of Classroom Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential. ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA: - Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church. - Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L. - Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning. - Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in Science. - Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning. - Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community. DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA: - Qualifications to teach Stage 6 Science.
