The JB Duke Hotel is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Banquet Captain to join our Food & Beverage team. This full-time, AM/PM position requires flexibility to work varying shifts and days each week. As a Banquet Captain, you’ll lead and coordinate all aspects of assigned banquet functions—ensuring every event is executed to the highest standards of quality, service, and guest satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Before the Event: Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and confirm assignments with the Banquet Manager. Post daily BEOs, assign staff to specific event areas, and verify room setup and layout. Coordinate with management and the culinary team to review head counts, dietary needs, menu details, timing, and any special instructions. Inspect function rooms to ensure cleanliness, proper setup, and compliance with specifications. Hold a pre-function meeting with staff at least 30 minutes prior to the event to review details, service standards, and VIP guests.
