SUMMARY: The General Manager (GM) is the top-level manager in our restaurants. The GM has full profit and loss responsibility and manages the overall operations of the restaurant. He/she manages staffing levels and develops assistant managers, shift leads and team members to deliver store performance that executes Shakey’s Fast, Friendly, Clean standards and achieves store financial objectives. Ensures store sanitation, safety and security practices. The General Manager reports to a Regional Manager. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - The following responsibilities are representative of the GM position. Other duties may be assigned. - Plans, directs and monitors all restaurant operations. - Manages restaurant profit and loss (P&L) to weekly, period and annual revenue and expense budgets, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions. - Attains restaurant budget targets on a weekly, period and annual basis. - Creates a team environment that delivers outstanding operations performance and guest service every day. - Executes in-store promotional campaigns and conducts local marketing activities in the community. - Trains and coaches assistant managers, shift leads and te...
