This position will support ColumbiaDoctors, one of the largest multi-specialty practices in the Northeast. ColumbiaDoctors’ practices comprise an experienced group of more than 2,800 physicians, surgeons, dentists, and nurses, offering more than 240 specialties and subspecialties. Job Summary: The Laboratory Aide is a key support member in the workflow of the Dermatopathology Laboratory and functions as a team player to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and timely processing of all histology and digital pathology tasks. The candidate will work closely with the Histotechnologists, Digital Imaging Coordinator, and Shift Supervisor. The Laboratory Aide is responsible for accessioning, labeling, filing, writing slides, discarding old specimen samples, and retrieving deeper levels and special requests from Pathologists.
