Job Description Reporting to the Patient Care Manager, Critical Care Program CVH, the Recreational Therapist will work within the context of a dynamic client/patient and family recovery model of care, and in accordance with established standards of practice, and the vision and values of the organization. The Recreational Therapist will join a robust interprofessional team as part of the novel Long-Stay Program supporting acute critical care patients who are working towards ventilation liberation and rehabilitative opportunities. The Recreational Therapist works in a team-based environment promoting a holistic leisure lifestyle by addressing the social, physical, spiritual, emotional, and cognitive needs of clients/patients. Will develop, plan, facilitate, schedule, organize, and implement various therapeutic recreation programs within our unique critical care inpatient environment. This will be established by conducting assessments, developing individual recreation plans, completing patient documentation, skill, instruction, development of program goals and objectives, and evaluating a variety of individual and group recreation programs.
