Function / Area: Underwriting Reporting to: Senior Underwriter / Underwriting Manager Position Summary: We are looking for an Assistant Underwriter in our Manchester based Technology Underwriting team who will support the execution of the business plan by supporting underwriting teams, focusing on developing underwriting skills and technical knowledge whilst helping to manage existing accounts and identifying new business opportunities. Key Responsibilities: - Contribute to business plan achievement by handling renewals and writing new business within underwriting authority. - Establish and build upon relationships with brokers, clients, reinsurers and Lloyds as necessary - Promote the development of the business by identifying new business and cross sell opportunities. - Support the preparation of the business plan and any other document/ information as required. - Ensure accurate entry of policy aggregate information onto the relevant software and spreadsheets, as required. Ensure the syndicate records and files are maintained and up to date.
