Maintenance Technician for Parish (NE)

Job description

St. Ignatius Hickory Parish seeks candidates for a Maintenance Technician . Under general direction of the Facilities Manager, the Maintenance Technician will provide cleaning and maintenance for the parish buildings and grounds. This is a part-time, benefit eligible position working 20 weekly hours. Essential Functions: - Assures the church and parish center are maintained in a clean and orderly manner. Accomplish this by dusting, mopping, waxing, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms. - Assure the grounds are maintained in an orderly and safe manner. Accomplish this by mowing, string trimming, weeding, pruning, and using a leaf blower on walkways, etc. May have to dig burial spot for cremation graves. - Provide general assistance as needed by setting up chairs and tables, hauling and moving items as requested from work orders, etc. Change marque and other signs according to scheduled events. - Assure the collection and disposal of trash and garbage from the buildings and rectories. - In case of snow, Maintenance staff as essential personnel, expected in for duty to clear sidewalks and assist in snow removal, etc. - Other duties as assigned.
