Job description

Under minimal supervision, works in basic science research laboratory, operates lab equipment, performs experimental procedures, collects and summarizes research data. Responsibilities include assisting or conducting a variety of scientific experiments and research projects of limited complexity, collecting, evaluating and interpreting data for clinical and diagnostic research. EDUCATION: EXPERIENCE: - Assists investigator or higher level technician with research studies to investigate the pathogenesis of lupus, by conducting experiments and assays (such as ELISA and PCR assays), including collection and analysis of data, preparation of solutions and set-up and maintenance of equipment. - Assists in the management of a mouse colony used for these experiments, which includes mouse husbandry, genotyping, blood collection and other sample collection. - Performs database queries of historical data and organization of data into spreadsheet for use in research studies. - Assists in the inventory and organization of all reagents, supplies, and other materials in the research area. - Assists with compliance with institutional offices, such as EH&S and IACUC - Ensures proper maintenance of...
