WSP is currently initiating a search for On Call Emergency Management Specialists, Safety to report out of our Honolulu, HI office. Emergency management cadre positions are on-call and assignments are on an as-needed basis . Cadre members are not eligible for benefits. Cadre members are asked for a 30 day commitment; availability to deploy with little to no advance notice (typically within 24-48 hours); and during deployments, ability to potentially work 8-12 hours/day; 7 days/week. Your Impact: Conduct audits to check for proper safety gear, signage, and compliance with safety procedures. - Support Emergency Management team in servicing clients preparing for, responding to, and recovering from disasters nationwide and in US territories. - Deploy to Emergency Operations Center and/or Field Staging Area operations prior to, during, and post-disaster. - Responsible for ensuring that worksites are safe for workers and comply with applicable regulations. - Daily activities will be to attend job briefings and observe work throughout the day and file daily safety reports as required and/or as part of the daily field reports. - Attend periodic training throughout the year to maintain depl...
