Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $21.25 - Midpoint: $26.59 (Hourly N6) Department/Organization: 870601 - Veterans/Military Affairs: Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm; some evenings & weekends Note to Applicants: Position is eligible for remote work subject to University policy . This is a temporary part-time (No Benefits) position. Job Summary: The Veterans and Military Affairs Specialist PT provides parents and students with information regarding the many options available under the Veterans Administration Educational Benefits on a part-time basis. Provides timely, accurate, and complete certifications within the VA Once system. Advises students thoroughly on the type of benefits they may receive, the terms of the benefits, the length of the benefits, and the consequences of not complying with all VA policies and procedures. Interfaces with the staff in Student Receivables and Academic Records and academic advisers across campus. Additional Department Summary: Assists the University of Alabama military-connected students with the Certification of the many benefits available under the Veterans' Administration Educational and Occupational Benefits.
