Role Purpose: To underwrite and grow a profitable International Life Sciences portfolio in line with The Hartford Syndicate business plan across International/Lloyd’s, London, and UK markets. Provide underwriting advice, structure appropriate coverage, and secure business at a competitive premium. Key Accountabilities: Build and maintain an understanding of Life Sciences risks and exposures (e.g., drug manufacturing/API, clinical trials, medical devices/products, and contract research organisations). Underwrite the renewal portfolio in line with appetite, authority, and performance targets. Help develop and deliver the Life Sciences marketing strategy. Use underwriting tools (including rating models and exposure assessments) to support risk selection and pricing decisions.
