Job Description PURPOSE: Position exists to provide technical, quality, procedural, and people leadership on the production shifts. To ensure the production objective of safety of all employees, quality of the product and maximum operating efficiency by the utilization of knowledge, training, department resources and communications. The goal is to achieve efficient and economical manufacturing which conforms to the established objectives and goals of the company. Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Direct and manage the work of all hourly plant personnel on your shift for effective plant operations. - Responsible for the production of a quality product and the minimization of scrap on each machine. - Direct proper use of materials and inspect materials being used. - Monitor production responsibilities for SPC functions - Prepare for and monitor product changeovers. - Compare cycle times to standards. - Package quality bottles by verifying bottle inspections are done. - Verify correct use of packing procedures on each line. - Oversee and verify production labeling and reporting. - Minimize scrap in proper utilization of packing materials. - Prepares or directs others to prepare...
