About the Team The IT Risk function within Finance Risk Management (FRM) is responsible for managing technology risk across OpenAI’s engineering and infrastructure systems that drive usage, monetization, and system-critical operations. This includes systems that generate and process usage data, pricing and billing logic, and infrastructure layers (Applied, Inference, Fleet) that directly impact system behavior and downstream outputs. The team partners closely with Engineering, Product, and Finance to ensure systems have clear ownership of data correctness, well-defined control points, and reliable behavior under both normal operation and failure conditions. About the Role: As a Senior Manager, you will lead technology risk across engineering-owned systems, focusing on how system-generated data is produced, how it flows across services, and where control points must exist to ensure completeness, accuracy, and reliability. You will work directly with Engineering and Product to influence system design, establish ownership of data correctness, and ensure systems can be relied upon without introducing manual reconciliation or downstream fixes.
