Find your purpose as a Financial Counselor with CentraCare! As a Financial Counselor, you'll be instrumental in ensuring patients have a clear understanding of their financial responsibilities and options when it comes to healthcare expenses. Expertise in Medicaid and other assistance programs is essential for guiding patients through the complexities of insurance coverage and payment arrangements. The Financial Counselor is responsible for working with patients virtually or in person to provide information regarding anticipated expenses, insurance coverage, payment options/resources and financial assistance programs. They should have in-depth knowledge of Medicaid and its affiliated programs so we can best meet the needs of our patients. The Financial Counselor should strive to handle accounts in ways that best affect patient experience and minimize bad debts.
