Recycling Associate (Night Shift)

Job description

- Starting Pay: $19.70 per hour Job Summary: The Recycler is responsible for sorting, processing, and handling PVC scrap materials, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and operating necessary machinery to facilitate the recycling process. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and effective communication with team members to support operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Safety & Hazard Awareness: Consistently wear required PPE (hearing protection, OSHA-approved eye protection, gloves, steel-toe boots). Follow safety protocols for saw cutting procedures and PVC scrap processing. Comply with all OSHA-required safety training , including forklift operation, hazard recognition, fire safety, lockout/tagout procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage. Material Handling & Sorting: Read and follow production skid tags , understanding item numbers, part descriptions, quantity per skid, and label identification. Properly sort various types of purchased scrap , including free foam PVC trim, rigid materials, PVC mouldings, sawdust, colored non-white materials, and siding.
