Fire Protection Designer (Entry-Level, EIT)

Job description

Your Opportunity As an Entry-Level Fire Protection Designer, you will support the design, analysis, and documentation of fire protection and life safety systems for a variety of building types. Working within a multi-disciplinary team, you will collaborate with experienced engineers and designers to deliver code-compliant, high-quality solutions across sectors including healthcare, education, commercial, and science & technology. This role provides hands-on experience across all phases of project delivery—from conceptual design through construction administration—while building the foundation for professional licensure (PE). Your Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the design and layout of fire protection systems including fire sprinkler, fire alarm, and clean agent suppression systems - Perform basic engineering calculations including hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, and system flow analysis - Support development of construction documents, drawings, and specifications using Revit/BIM - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, architectural) to coordinate system integration and routing - Review shop drawings and submittals for compliance with design inten...
