Department: Pharmacy: Shift/schedule: Full Time (40 hrs/wk): GENERAL SUMMARY: Works closely with and under the direct supervision of the Pharmacists. The Pharmacy Technician Trainee's primary job functions include assisting the Pharmacist in the preparation and distribution of medications, inventory and stock replacement, and assuring the appropriate billing for SOMC patient and staff. Education: Licensure: Experience: - High School Diploma or successful completion of an equivalent High School Exam Required - Registered Pharmacy Technician Trainee required - Registered, Certified Pharmacy Technician (OH) within 12 months of registration as Pharmacy Technician Trainee required - (If Registration as Certified Pharmacy Technician (OH) is not obtained within 12 months of registration as Pharmacy Technician Trainee, position may result in termination of employment) - Pharmacy Technician training program or prior technician work experience preferred.
