Focused Energy is a fusion energy startup with the goal of generating unlimited clean energy to responsibly meet future global demand. With the use and commercialization of laser-induced inertial fusion, a clean and highly efficient power generation technology is coming within reach, suitable to ensure a secure and scalable future energy supply. The Laser team delivers highly technical project work that depends on the timely availability of components, services, and consumables. Today, engineers and project managers spend a meaningful amount of time coordinating purchase requests, following up on deliveries, and aligning with procurement and finance — time that would be better spent on technical execution. This Working Student role exists to take ownership of day‑to‑day procurement coordination for the Laser team. You’ll ensure that purchase requests are placed correctly, deliveries are tracked transparently, and stakeholders stay aligned — while also helping improve the underlying processes that make all of this smoother over time.
