Senior Audiologist

Job description

POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Audiologist will evaluate auditory function of patients; provide rehabilitation for patients; refer patients to other appropriate clinics and counsel patients on hearing conservation and/or hearing loss. The Senior Audiologist will also assist in training medical and audiology students, as well as non-medical staff. Position: Senior Audiologist: Department: Audiology: Schedule: 40 hours: ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES: Evaluate auditory function of patients utilizing diagnostic audiologic tests that include, but are not limited to, pure tone and speech testing, immittance testing, otoacoustic emission testing, etc. Evaluate vestibular system with videonystamography (VNG) procedures. Perform advanced electrophysiologic tests that include, but are not limited to, Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) testing, Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potential (VEMP) testing, and Electrocochleography (ECochG) testing. Experience with Cochlear Implant evaluation, device selection, programming and counseling.
