Scope of work: The Nursing Technician role is a fast-paced role requiring strong communication and teamwork skills, regardless of the department you are working in. This is a direct patient care role, and duties will include Taking Vitals, Checking Blood Sugar, Wound Care, Bed bathing, Toileting, Ambulating, Catheterization, and acting as safety attendant for patients as needed. Additionally, you could be involved in Postmortem care. In our Emergency Departments, you will be doing EKGs, Changing over rooms/Cleaning, etc. You may also be floated to Big Rapids Hospital nearby for a shift if there is a need. Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider.
