The average length of stay is 3-4 days, and the nurse patient ratio is 1:1 or 1:2. Skill mix between experienced and newer nurses: mostly nurses with 2-5 years ICU experience. Maybe 25% with greater than 10 years, and maybe 25% less than 2 years.As a mixed ICU unit, you never know what you will get.
