Shop Technician- Electrical

Job description

The Shop Technician is responsible for the assembly, installation, wiring, and repair of electrical panels according to production and engineering specifications. This position reports to the Manager, Operations. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure all wiring is tagged, terminated, and secured in accordance with regulatory and company standards. - Perform wiring modifications, repairs, and installations for electrical components and control panels. - Assemble electrical enclosures and related systems following engineering drawings and work instructions. - Mount and install electrical components within control panels. - Fabricate and install light metal assemblies for larger panel systems. - Fabricate light metal pieces for use in larger assemblies. - Communicate effectively regarding issues with schematics, cabinet assembly, or point-to-point wiring. - Verify engineering documentation to ensure correct and current revisions are used. - Work closely with supervisors and leads to meet production goals and deadlines. - Collaborate with supervisors and leads to ensure assignments are completed accurately and on time. - Use a variety of hand, air, and power tools safely and effectively. - Ma...
