Job description

Overview CVP is seeking a CT Technologist to join our team in providing our Nation's Veterans with diagnostic imaging services at the VA Long Beach Healthcare System (Tibor Rubin VA Medical Center), located at 5901 E. 7th Street, Long Beach, CA 90822. This is a full-time, on-site position. Work schedules include weekday and weekend coverage (including holidays), with Day shifts from 6:30 am to 4:30 pm, 7:00 am to 7:30 pm, 8:00 am to 8:30 pm, 9:00 am to 9:30 pm, Night shifts from 6:00 pm to 6:30 am, and Weekend shifts from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm and 6:00 pm to 6:30am. Responsibilities: - Independently operate CT Scanning equipment to perform a variety of complex CT imaging exams, practicing CT safety at all times in accordance with established national standards and VALBHS policies and procedures. - Operate CT Scanner equipment - a highly complex computerized imaging device utilizing radiation-producing equipment - to acquire images of the entire body, including the brain, neck, spine, chest, body, and extremities. - Receive patients, explain the method of procedure(s), position patients appropriately, select and set technical parameters, and set up and adjust accessory equipment for im...
