Overview This position will staff in Emory Healthcare's Specialty Pharmacy located at Emory University Hospital Midtown. This position will play an integral role in supporting our day-to-day specialty pharmacy operations and ensuring patients are getting their specialty medications in a safe and timely manner. Applicants must be available to work 8am-5pm during pharmacy hours (typical shifts 8am-430pm or 830am-5pm). Applicants that have some experience working within a retail or specialty pharmacy are preferred (both traditional retail or hospital outpatient pharmacy). Description: - Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, procures, prepares, packages, and distributes and disposes medications and pharmaceutical supplies to assist the department in providing quality pharmaceutical care for all patients. - Maintains an established inventory of drugs and commonly used supplies; re-orders and stocks items upon delivery to ensure immediate availability. - Maintains competency and follows departmental, USP, DEA, and FDA guidelines when repackaging and compounding pharmaceutical products. - Properly operates, troubleshoots, monitors, and cleans departmental automation and...
