The Role: Under general direction, the Behavioral Health Specialist is responsible for providing counseling and casework services to individuals who have mental illnesses and/or substance use disorders. Assesses client’s behavioral health status through interviews and observations, develops service and treatment plans and/or makes referrals to appropriate services. Provide individual and group counseling to promote health and recovery as well as case management toward community living. This work is carried out in support of the mission and goals of Samaritan Daytop Village.
