Overview To improve the health status of the community is a driving force in our mission and as a Registered Nurse for Surgery at a Level 1 trauma and burn center, your role as a RN in the Operating Room plays an integral part in directly affecting those we serve. We LOVE to provide learning opportunities for our staff, as well as children and families in our community. Whether you are attending robotic training opportunities offered throughout the year, or helping to facilitate career day events, your passions will be encouraged here. You can also have easily accessible and hand’s on opportunities with the local AORN chapter as we are the area host facility. Your role here will include opportunities for growing your clinical skillset, as well as advancement through a clinical ladder that is achievable with experience and leadership activities. With an average of over 26,000 cases a year and 24 licensed operating rooms (including 2 hybrid OR’s and a Burn Unit OR), you will have the unique opportunity to learn from multiple disciplines, develop close relationships with surgeons and anesthesiologists alike, and be able to make a difference in the lives of thousands.
