This role requires extreme precision, as improper masking can lead to part failure or costly rework. Primary Responsibilities: Review engineering blueprints and work orders to identify areas requiring protection. Apply masking materials, including specialized tapes, liquid masks, plugs, and wax. Clean and prep part surfaces using solvents to ensure proper mask adhesion. Trim masking materials precisely using X-Acto knives or scalpels under magnification. Remove masking materials post-process without damaging the treated or base surfaces. Perform visual inspections to ensure masks are leak-proof and meet tight tolerances.
