A Substation Design Engineer performs engineering assignments related to planning/scoping, design, and project construction management of the various projects related to Central Hudson’s system. What does an Engineer – Electric Substation Design do? Performs design work for electric substations & related facilities. Demonstrates the ability to carry small/medium ESD projects from start to finish, including cost estimates, Work Order Authorization, DIG approval, equipment and site technical specifications, bidding and selection process, equipment ordering/contractor selection, drawing mark-up, drawing completion by Drafting, wire-checking and transmittal to Substation Operations and construction assistance.
