Job description

Position Summary: Vallen's Quoting and Sourcing Specialist will assist in organizing and facilitating the preparation of the quote and sending market basket requests to our suppliers/manufactures. The position will conduct product research and analysis of competitive sources that will enable Vallen to secure new business. The Quoting and Sourcing Specialist works closely with Vallen Supplier Strategy making sure to utilize our focus vendor base to help secure Vallen's best cost. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: - Assist in organizing the preparation of project quotations/implementation assignments by sending market basket request to our suppliers/manufactures. - Build relationships to help negotiate better cost; communicate with the Project Lead and Strategic Proposals Manager all critical supplier/vendor information that would benefit others pertaining to products, pricing and competitors. - Analyze product specifications and conduct product matches and/or interchanges that meet customer requirements when assisting with securing new business, e.g., manufacturer part numbers and item descriptions as compared to Vallen's supply-based focus suppliers when completing a cross...
