ROLE : The position uses hand-welding or flame-cutting equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Experience with and knowledge of proper clamping, holding, heat-bending, grinding, bolting and tack welding of weld components to obtain required configuration and positions for welding. - Operate manual GTAW (TIG) (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) machines as well as there care, maintenance, and trouble shooting. - Operate Semi-Automatic GTAW welding equipment. - Operate using their experience with or knowledge of safe GTAW welding practices. - Weld sheet metal in the flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead position. - Inspects work upon completion for any defects to comply with written specifications. - Perform layout operations, develop fixtures and select optimum welding processes. -...
