Salary Range: $42,553-$68,510 Purpose of Classification: The purpose of this classification is to repair body damage to County-owned vehicles and equipment. This classification is safety sensitive, subject to random drug testing in accordance with the County’s Drug & Alcohol Policy. Essential Functions: The following duties are normal for this position. Assesses vehicle and equipment damage; estimates time and material needed to complete repairs; updates and maintains related work orders; and coordinates with supervisor to order parts and supplies. Repairs structural and mechanical damages; straightens, repairs and aligns metal frames, unibody, and body pillars; performs glasswork; fills dents; sands and grinds surfaces; applies primer, paint, and detail features; buffs surfaces; upholstery and updates and maintains related work orders.
