Job description

Reporting to MSHS’s Deputy Chief Clinical Officer, the Senior Director of the Department of Spiritual Care and Education oversees the departments of spiritual care and education across the health system. The directors of these departments report to the Senior Director of the DSCE, who ensures a coherent and unified approach to the clinical, educational, fiscal, human resources, and administrative activities of the spiritual care departments, as well as the pursuit of MSHS’s overall goals and priorities. The Senior Director of the DSCE oversees Mount Sinai’s Clinical Pastoral Education programs, which are embedded within these departments, ensuring compliance with all accreditation requirements. Working under the leadership of the Deputy Chief Clinical Officer, the Senior Director of the DSCE collaborates with other clinical disciplines to maximize the delivery of excellent, efficient, and compassionate patient care.
