Overview Boston Parks & Recreation’s youth recreation series and events improve quality of life and promote economic balance by offering convenient, free, high-quality, instructional, and team-building programs to underserved and economically disadvantaged communities. These programs serve a variety of demographics, including at-risk populations and children whose families cannot afford summer sports camps, leagues, or specialized sports programs. By providing these events and activities, we offer a vital opportunity to bring safe and enriching programs to parks in densely populated areas. Key Duties and Responsibilities: The Ideal Candidate for this Job - Help manage day-to-day activities - Provide direct supervision of program participants at the site - Assist with planning and scheduling site programming - Maintain an inventory of equipment and materials - Keep accurate records of attendance for program participants - Perform all other duties assigned by the Soccer Director - Soccer Knowledge and Experience: A strong understanding of soccer fundamentals and previous playing or coaching experience, preferably at a youth or recreational level.
