Senior Accountant

Job description

The Senior Accountant is part of the finance department responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, assist in the preparation of financial reports and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures. This includes general ledger account reconciliations and financial projects as assigned by the Assistant VP of Finance. Specific responsibilities would include: - Preparation and reconciliation of accounts as assigned for all system wide entities, including month end close. - Assistance with preparation of monthly financial statements and other financial reports. - Analysis of monthly budget to actual variances. - Contributing to and executing department and organizational special projects as assigned. - Collaborate with operational leaders across departments to support financial reporting requirements. - Preparation and completion of documents for annual audit as assigned by the Assistant VP of Finance within established timeframes. - Effective communication with CFO, Executive VP of Finance and Assistant VP of Finance to ensure deadlines are met. - Develop, understand and adhere to agency policies and procedures. - Demonst...
