The Home in Walpole is a residential treatment placement for adolescent youth who need specialized treatment as they heal from the traumatic events that have shaped their young lives. Our strength-based clinical services help youth learn to manage their behaviors while preparing them for life in the community. The Home in Walpole is looking for Per-Diem Residential Counselors to make a difference in the lives of youth with trauma histories, developmental delays and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis. How You'll Be Making a Difference What to Expect in the Role - You'll be joining a dynamic team of professionals implementing our trauma-informed care model. - Supporting youth in developing the skills they need to successfully transition home to families. - Teaching age appropriate life skills, coping skills, and social skills through modeling, counseling, and other techniques. - Participating in groups and activities designed to enhance youth growth and development. - Participating in both on-site and off-site recreational/educational activities. - Maintaining a safe and supportive environment. - Passing the CORI/background check and having a valid ID - Being physically active for...
