Overview DEPARTMENT : CRD: REPORTS TO: Divisional Director of Advancement SUPERVISES: None: STATUS: Exempt: SCHEDULE: 35 hours: FUNCTION: The Divisional Grant Writer takes the lead in writing, reviewing, editing and compiling funding applications and reports for non-governmental grants and foundation funds for Salvation Army locations in the Southwest Ohio Northern Kentucky Division and supporting these locations with grant applications and processing. Keeps detailed record of annual of grant activity, timelines and deadlines and works collaboratively with other staff and departments as needed to complete grant applications. Responsibilities: - Responsible for full grant cycles: research, proposal development and reporting of any grants which are written and/or supported by this position - Evaluates, manages and stewards relations with current and new funding partners to provide financial support for The Salvation Army mission, including general operating, program, capacity, and capital funding. - Identifies new funding applications based on Corps Officer and DHQ requests. - Keeps a calendar of grant applications, deadlines, and follow up.
