Overview Bowhead is seeking an Engineering Technician to support the Army Research Lab (ARL) on Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG). The Engineering Technician will perform standardized or prescribed assignments involving a sequence of related operations by following standard work methods on recurring assignments but receives explicit instructions on unfamiliar assignments. The Engineering Technician will have their technical adequacy of routine work reviewed on completion and non-routine work may also be reviewed in progress. The Engineering Technician will be expected to become a certified Ammo Handler. Responsibilities: Job duties will include the following, but other duties may be assigned: - Following specific instructions will test plans. - Will conduct a variety of tests using established methods by preparing test specimens, adjusting and operating equipment, and recording test data, pointing out deviations resulting from equipment malfunction or observational errors. - Will perform mechanical design of prototype fixtures, instruments, machinery. - Check drawings provided by engineers and scientists to determine the adequacy of the drawings for target construction and successful c...
