Location: Oslo, Norway (Hybrid, minimum 1 day/week in office) Team: Product Engineering: About Varnish Software: Varnish Software is a Scandinavian-based tech company developing caching technology for some of the world's biggest players in the content delivery market. Our technology helps businesses worldwide improve website performance, deliver video streams, and scale their infrastructure. The Role: We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our new Product Engineering team. While Varnish is known for its general purpose caching engine (OSS and Enterprise), our team is focused on building new products to solve real-world needs, where caching is just one of the components. It’s a bit like developing LEGO sets. We are currently building a Data Fabric suite of products designed to address infrastructure challenges, including (but not limited to): Virtual Registry: Caching packages, Docker images, and other software artifacts. Artifact Firewall: Preventing and mitigating software supply chain attacks. S3 Cache: On-prem caching of S3-compatible object stores.
