Adjunct Faculty Position Music Department: Jazz Studies: Job Summary: The David L. Walters Department of Music at Jacksonville State University invites applications for an adjunct position in Jazz Studies beginning August 2026. The primary duties of the successful candidate will be to teach courses in the core undergraduate Jazz Performance curriculum, including Improvisation and Arranging. Other duties include primary applied lessons for Jazz Majors, Recital Preparation, auditions, Jazz Juries, and performances with the Jazz Faculty. Minimum Qualifications: - Master's degree in jazz performance Required Application Documents: - Cover Letter. The Cover Letter must address the applicant’s readiness, preparation, and/or experience teaching college-level General Education courses. - CV.
