Barback Duties and Responsibilities: - Providing support to bartenders involves a number of different duties. We analyzed many barback job descriptions to compile the fallowing list of barback duties and responsibilities: - Change Kegs as Needed - Barbacks need to have a certain amount of physical strength to lift full kegs and carry them from storage. They also have to know how to proper1y tapa keg. - Clean and Restock Glassware - While most places have a dishwasher far kitchenware, glassware from the bar is washed and restocked by the Barback. - Open and Close Tabs - Barbacks open and close tabs for customers so bartenders can focus on the customers who are still ordering drinks.
