Position Summary(Basic Job Function) This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides professional support. Responsibilities may include general business, science, medical, agricultural or other professional support functions. Term: Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between and at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call. On-Call allowed to work 1039 hours in any twelve (12) month period. Unit Position Summary: Animal Care: Employee will gain husbandry experience of waterfowl, upland game-bird, and birds of prey. These duties may include but are not limited to: - Feed and monitor flock health and welfare - Daily cleaning of animal habitats and holding areas - Animal enrichment - Proper capture and handling techniques - Veterinary procedures and exams - Habitat maintenance & renovation - Raptor training & glove handling animal ambassadors Visitor Interaction and Public Engagement: Employee will interact with guests during daily scheduled hours and special events. - Monitors guests to ensure animal and human safety and protection of Sanctuary property - Responds to guest questions on the phone and...
