Job Summary: The lead youth counselor supports youth experiencing a mental health crisis in our children’s crisis settings. This service is designed to support youth in the community instead of them living in a hospital, hotel or detention center. In this role, you will provide support to youth by implementing interventions identified in their therapeutic support plan and engaging in all daily activities with clients. This includes supporting them with hygiene and daily tasks, cooking, maintaining their schedule, taking them into the community and managing behaviors when necessary. As a lead youth counselor, you are the lead on shift that ensures the schedule is followed and all necessary policies and procedures are adhered to on shift by coworkers. In this role, you will offer mentorship to coworkers and model trauma-informed care interventions.
