***Recruitment Range: $70,000 – $85,000 Annually*** Closing Date: 03/17/2026, 5:00pm: Description of Work: The Fiscal Research Division (FRD) seeks dynamic individuals with strong analytical skills who excel under pressure. FRD Analysts are nonpartisan and serve as the primary budget and finance staff to the North Carolina General Assembly’s 170 members, as well as its funding and policy committees. We are looking for team players to help build the State’s $32 billion general fund budget and analyze issues that are complex, diverse, and cross multiple subject areas. FRD Analysts, along with other General Assembly nonpartisan staff, have a unique opportunity to provide counsel to policymakers and participate directly in the policy development process. In addition, they regularly present to public committees and work with State agencies to implement legislation.
