Indirect Tax Specialist

Hudson River Trading (HRT) is seeking an Indirect Tax Specialist to join our growing Tax team. In this role, you will help ensure HRT’s global VAT/GST tax compliance, provide tax support for international imports, US state and local sales & use tax compliance, and collaborate with various internal teams to improve indirect tax reporting and indirect tax efficiencies. Responsibilities: - Serve as the primary point of contact for all indirect tax compliance matters for all HRT entities - Prepare VAT/GST return workpapers for all global affiliates across multiple jurisdictions - Manage US sales and use tax compliance - Work with external advisors on the review and filing of all indirect tax returns - Provide support for indirect tax inquiries from tax authorities - Coordinate with logistics teams to manage indirect tax matters for international shipments and imports - Work closely with internal accounting, accounts payable, and IT teams to ensure accurate reporting of indirect tax in the ERP system and help create process improvements - Collaborate with finance, legal, and technology teams on projects to improve indirect tax efficiencies - Research and analyze global indirect tax issu...
